"Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn." ~ Benjamin Franklin
Team Kermit--graduate students in UW-Stout's "Assessment in E-Learning" class and "E-Learning and Online Teaching" certificate program--collaborated to produce this website to highlight examples of Web 2.0 assessments. To develop our site, we researched various genres of assessment tools, such as collaboration and video, audio, and graphic production. Through involvement in creating this toolbox, we fostered teamwork and learned more about the capabilities of different web tools.
We each chose one assessment tool and investigated its potential applications in an online classroom. Additionally, we identified the tool's strengths and weaknesses, and connected it to a specific learning objective. Each tool addresses different objectives and has the potential to provide learners with an opportunity to demonstrate knowledge and understanding in authentic and meaningful ways.
